Hakainde Hichilema and the United Party for National Development (UPND) are seeking a second term in office under the theme "Zambia Forward, Together." The 2026 manifesto focuses on building on the government's first five years by growing the economy, creating more jobs, improving electricity supply, expanding infrastructure, strengthening healthcare and education, supporting agriculture, and increasing opportunities for young people and businesses. The manifesto also commits to improving governance, fighting corruption, and continuing investment in Constituency Development Fund (CDF) projects across the country. These are the commitments that citizens can use to monitor government performance if the party is re-elected. Key promises: 1. Create 2 million jobs over the next five years. 2. Double the size of Zambia's economy. 3. End load-shedding through increased investment in energy generation. 4. Continue expanding the Constituency Development Fund (CDF). 5. Improve healthcare services and recruit more health workers. 6. Strengthen education through improved infrastructure and skills development. 7.
