Manifesto / campaign priorities
7. The campaign message is focused on highlighting developmental achievements of the UPND Government, including Free Education, increased CDF allocation, and enhanced social protection programmes. The Candidate also highlights infrastructure improvements, including road works in Kabwata and Chilenje Wards. However, a section of the electorate attributes these achievements primarily to the Head of State rather than the candidate’s personal contribution, thereby, weakening his perceived individual credibility among voters. Meanwhile, the Campaign Team has been urging the electorate not to vote for Mr. YENGA, NRPUP candidate, alleging that they were the same member from Patriotic Front (PF), who crippled the economy and supported cadrerism. The message was well received by the electorate, who committed to rally behind his candidature.
