Manifesto / campaign priorities
19. Mr. NSUNGE's campaign message focuses on job creation, youth skills development, economic empowerment and expanding access to higher education financing through the Higher Education Loans and Scholarships Board (HELSB). He has further pledged to promote affordable financing for local businesses and traders while assuring the electorate that his primary allegiance would be to the people of Lusaka Central Constituency rather than political interests. Mr. NSUNGE and his campaign team have continued with their campaigns in Bauleni compound and Nyumba Yanga market urging electorate to vote for him as Member of Parliament in the August general election, claiming that he understood their day to day challenges. He also informed the electorate at Nyumba Yanga market that he would engage the Lusaka City Council to reduce the shop rentals which are at two hundred and fifty kwacha (K250) per month to one hundred and twenty kwacha (K120) per month, adding that rentals were to high for an ordinary marketeer coupled with slow business at the market. The message was well received by the electorate who pledged to vote for him. The message has been positively received by sections of the electorate, with some residents pledging to support his candidature.
